Mountain Biking, sightseeing and an all-new Skills Park make for a sizzling summer at Stevens Pass

June 28 marked the official start to summer at Stevens Pass, with new and returning events and activities highlighting an exciting lineup of guest experiences, from downhill mountain biking, hiking trails, scenic chairlift rides, food and beverage options, RV sites and disc golf, through to the end of September.

On June 27, Bike Park Pass holders were invited to Pass Holder Appreciation Day, where they got an exclusive sneak peek of Stevens Pass’ network of trails. An all-new Skills Park consisting of a dedicated progression space with a range of drops and features located in the base area was also added to Steven Pass.

“Summer is such a special time of year at Stevens Pass, with unforgettable experiences for our community to enjoy,” said Ellen Galbraith, general manager and vice president of Stevens Pass. “We are excited to welcome guests back for another season of hiking, biking, sightseeing, plus signature events and experiences, highlighted by the family friendly Northwest Mountain Challenge archery event and NW Cup Finals downhill mountain biking race.”

Bike park

The Stevens Pass Bike Park features a diverse network of trails designed to accommodate riders of all abilities, from first timers to seasoned experts. Guests can explore the park’s beautiful alpine setting while riding trails such as Golden Spike, Morooka Motion, X, Rock Crusher and P.B.R., all open to the public on opening day.

A new addition is a Skills Park located in the base area offering a dedicated progression space that includes drops of varying difficulty, teeter-totters and other features designed to build confidence and improve technique. It’s an ideal area for learning, teaching, and for youth riders to develop their skills. For those new to downhill mountain biking or looking to sharpen their abilities, the Intro to Bike Park group lesson provides essential instruction on bike handling, stance and terrain awareness. New this season, Stevens Pass also offered a limited fleet of downhill bikes from Commencal, Trek and Scott.

Hiking trails

These trails provide sweeping mountain views and an immersive experience in alpine terrain. Their signature 2.5-mile nature trail begins at the top of the Hogsback Express chairlift and winds downhill through mountain meadows, talus slopes and lush forest before joining the world-famous Pacific Crest Trail. Hikers frequently spot alpine wildflowers, pika, marmots, mountain hemlock and Alaska yellow cedar. Throughout the season, observant hikers may also notice a diverse array of native mushrooms tucked into the forest understory. Adventurers who follow the trail to the Pacific Crest Trail can continue to scenic alpine destinations such as Josephine Lake.

Scenic rides

Experience the dramatic landscapes of the Cascades from a new vantage point aboard their scenic chairlift. This leisurely ride offers sweeping views of the surrounding peaks, forested valleys and the Highway 2 corridor, an ideal way to appreciate the natural beauty of Stevens Pass without the need for a strenuous hike.

Disc golf

Discover a unique alpine disc golf experience on their 18-hole mountain course, designed to accommodate players of all skill levels. Accessible via chairlift, the course winds its way downhill through scenic mountain terrain, offering both a recreational challenge and exceptional views. Rental discs are available at the Bike Shop, making it easy for guests to join in the fun, whether trying the sport for the first time or perfecting their game at elevation.

Food and beverage

Guests can enjoy a variety of food and beverage offerings at the T-Bar and Bull’s Tooth, perfect for refueling between adventures. From light bites to hearty meals, on-mountain dining locations provide something for every appetite.

RV lot

For guests seeking a memorable overnight stay in the mountains, RV parking at Stevens Pass provides a convenient and comfortable option. Each site includes 30-amp electrical hookups and access to select resort amenities, allowing visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the Cascades with the comforts of home. Whether you’re planning a weekend escape or extending your adventure, an RV stay at Stevens Pass offers an ideal base for exploring the area with family and friends.
